Today  the unborn child ( foetus,or JANIN in the Qur'an)) is unfortunately, not recognised as a human being and has no rights at all!
This is why about 600 innocent living unborn children are killed and massacred every day in Britain through abortion!(about 40-50 million/year in the world !)
As the debate  in the US and in France lately has started  in order to give some rights to this
unseen unheard unborn child,we thought it will be useful to show the well established human rights given in islam, more than 1400 years ago, to this unrecognised human being today!
According to  the Holy Book AL QUR'AN and the Sayings of the final prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) and the  muslim jurists, the foetus/unborn child is fully recognised as a human being, with many rights for full protection;
THESE ARE:

1-the right for two healthy parents(with healthy genes), before the occurence of any conception or pregnancy, but any disabled or handicapped foetus is fully respected and fully protected.

2-the right to natural conception(in the Uterine tube,in the dark ,out of sight and out of any  man's touch or interference)l
3- The right to Lineage, the foetus has the right to be attributed to his/her two parents (Legitimacy)

4- The right to life, the two basic Islamic Holy Scriptures and references: the Qur'an and the Sayings of the final prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him), do not allow the interference with or the  killing of any foetus at any stage of pregnancy (this applies also if the unborn child is  disabled or  handicapped). The fertilised egg is fully respected in Islam(beginning of human life). It is a potential human being with clear fixed gender/sex  and genes inherited from both parents, as stated by the prophet Muhammad.

In fact, the Islamic Holy scriptures prohibit the taking of any innocent life or a soul, like the unborn child, even if it was   resulting from adultery or fornication.
Punishments/blood money are prescribed in Islam for those committing the criminal act of abortion!

5- The right to healthy allowed and safe nutrition(halal food and drink)

6- The right not to be harmed
It is prohibited for the pregnant Muslim woman to consume alcohol, drugs or to smoke.
any harmful chemical or substance to be avoided fully in pregnancy,as well as any
           harmful medical procedure or test.
(this applies in fact all the times:before during and after any pregnancy, and for men too).

7- The right to  compensation in case of any injury or harm done to the foetus and prosecution of the wrong doer.

8- The right to Inheritance, the foetus has the divine right to inherit from the parents under Islamic inheritance rules (while still inside the womb).

9-the right for equal treatment for both:boy and girl(no sex discrimination or preference to     any during pregnancy)

10- The right to receive a Will, the foetus has the divine right to inherit from any people outside his/her blood relations who wish to leave him or her a bequest in their will.

11-the right for a special charity(Zakat Fitr) to be paid to the poor and needy,  by the father on his/her behalf  during the fasting month of Ramadan, which is  the same amount paid also on behalf of every member of the family
12-The right to be born at the appointed time as fixed by GOD,the Creator, and not by doctors!(natural birth)

13-the right to be NAMED(an inspiring spiritual name).

14- The greatest gift from GOD : HEAVEN(granted by GOD Almighty),when any unborn child dies naturally in miscarriage during pregnancy. (and I believe that the aborted baby is a SUPERMARTYR and he/she  will be  accorded a special place in heaven!).
Any child who dies before puberty goes to Heaven too.

15-The right for a special prayer and proper quick burial after death
Full respect is accorded to the body, and  there must not be any abuse of the dead body or retention of the organs.

An unborn child(Foetus) in Islam is like any other born living  human being, with all the rights given for his/her full protection.
All these humane/human rights of the unborn child, will be well  established in the islamic and statutory laws when there is a proper Islamic state .
All The muslim doctors, nurses and pregnant women will fully implemented it.
We believe the time has come for the pro-life Christians and the Muslims, to work together in order to establish LEGALLY and INTERNATIONALLY the human rights of the Unborn child ,  and to stop this madness : the daily killing  and massacre of these innocent unborn children ,and to outlaw abortion altogether and banish it from the face of the earth. !(GOD willing).
